Drive into the quiet
The route from the Netherlands generally takes about fourteen hours without long stops. Many guests split the journey over two days.
You can fly via Pisa, Genoa, Milan or Bologna and hire a car. Pisa is about a two-hour drive away.
A car is essential
The final stretch winds through the mountains. Follow the shared arrival directions rather than every small road suggested by navigation.
There is a private parking space directly at La Scuola.

Yes. The house is peaceful and set freely in the mountains. A car is the best and most practical option for shopping, restaurants and days out.
How is the house arranged?+
La Scuola has two living floors, each with bedrooms and a bathroom. It works well for a family or friends who travel together but enjoy some privacy.
Are bed linen and towels provided?+
Yes, bed linen and towels are provided and included. There is also a washing machine for longer stays.
Is there air conditioning?+
Yes, on both living floors and in the main bedrooms. The mountain setting also cools pleasantly in the evening.
Is there a dishwasher?+
No. The kitchen is otherwise well equipped with oven, hob, fridge, coffee facilities, air fryer, pans, crockery and cutlery.
How does booking work?+
Send a request for available dates. The owner reviews and confirms or declines it. Payment must be received within 14 days after confirmation.
